Garage Builders Rockland's estimate request and contact form send your name, phone, email, town and garage project to our office, where they are used to reach you, walk your lot and write a price. They are kept in our customer-management system and are never sold.

A checked consent box allows us to reach you about the request by text, call or email, while replying STOP shuts off our texts for good. The site loads no analytics script, no ad pixel and no tracking cookie, and [email protected] is the address for seeing, correcting or deleting what we keep.

Garage Builders Rockland collects a small amount of personal information through this website, and this page accounts for all of it. Read on for the details we receive, the reasons we hold them, the outside companies involved and the choices you keep.

The Company Behind This Site

Garage Builders Rockland builds detached and attached garages and remodels existing ones in Rockland, Camden and 20 more Midcoast Maine towns. We work from an office on Elm Street in Camden, and garagebuildersrockland.com is our only website.

Details Our Two Forms Send Us

Our estimate request and our contact form deliver your answers to the office the moment you press the last button. Close a form halfway through and nothing reaches us, and no answer is held in your browser in the meantime.

  • Ways to reach you: name, phone and email.
  • The garage itself: your town, plus either the first pick and closing notes from the estimate request (detached garage, attached garage or garage remodel) or, from the contact form, the kind of garage project, a rough budget and your message.
  • A record of the send: whether you checked consent, which page you were on, and when the form went out.

What you tell us by phone, and what we note while walking your lot, joins the same file. If the garage goes ahead, we add the written price, the signed contract, any change orders and each invoice.

Separately, the company that hosts this site logs every page request in the usual way. Each line in that log holds the IP address that asked, the browser it used and the page it wanted.

Reasons We Keep It

We use your information for these three jobs only:

  • answering you and booking a visit to look at your lot
  • writing a price for the garage, then building it and billing for it if you go ahead
  • staying in contact about your garage, by whichever of phone, text or email your consent on the form allows

Your information is never sold, rented or swapped with anyone. We will not use it to pitch you anything other than the garage you came to us about.

Companies That Touch the Information

These outside providers handle some of it whenever someone browses the site, phones us or sends a form.

  • A customer-management system stores each form along with call logs and our team's job notes.
  • A phone and text provider routes our calls and messages, and whatever gets noted on a call ends up in your file.
  • Email services deliver our messages and keep copies of them.
  • Cloudflare hosts the pages, keeps the request log mentioned above, and forwards whatever arrives at our info@ address into the office inbox.

Each town map draws its map tiles from OpenStreetMap, so OpenStreetMap receives your IP address while a map loads. Click for directions on our contact page and Google Maps opens, where Google's privacy policy governs what you do.

We will hand information over when the law compels it, as a judge's order or a subpoena can. We may also disclose it when someone's safety or our legal rights are at stake.

Each request form has exactly one consent box, empty when the page loads, and pressing send does nothing until it is checked. On the estimate request, tapping the short linked sentence by the box brings up the complete authorization, and the contact form shows that wording in full beside its box.

Checking the box authorizes us at Garage Builders Rockland, plus our team members and assistants, to verify your request and its details with you by email, text message or phone call, even when that number appears on a Do-Not-Call registry. It further covers follow-up on that request, including calls and texts placed with automated technology, and you never need to give it to buy from us.

Browse the pages here about contractors, builders, real estate agents or other home service providers, and the same permission reaches them. Anyone who would sooner skip online consent can phone the number printed in the footer, and we will take the request that way.

Texts and Calls From Us

Every text we send concerns your estimate request or your garage, for instance booking the lot visit or giving an update once building starts. Message and data rates may apply, and the number of texts depends on the project.

  • Text STOP to us and the texts end, after one last message confirming it.
  • Text HELP if you need a hand, or email [email protected].
  • On delivery: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party.

Phone calls end the same way: ask on any call, or by email, and we strike your number from our calling list.

Calls an AI Receptionist May Take

An AI receptionist may answer when you phone us, and it says it is an AI near the start of the call. It notes who you are, the number you called from and what you want built, then leaves a short written summary in your file.

No Analytics, Pixels or Tracking Cookies

You will find no analytics software, no ad pixels and no tracking cookies on this website. Your browser's storage is never written to, and turning cookies off does not stop either form from working.

OpenStreetMap, the map provider named above, may place cookies of its own under its own rules. Cookies can be blocked or deleted from your browser settings at any time.

How Long Your Information Stays

We hold onto a request while we are still answering it or following up about your garage. Customer files can stay longer when a contract, a tax rule or some other law calls for it.

Safeguards

Only the providers listed here and the people at our company working on your garage can open your details. Internet security always has limits, and we make no claim to a system without them.

Should a hacker or a mistake ever expose your details, we will give you the notice Maine's breach law calls for.

Your Choices About Your Information

Ask us at any time for one of these:

  • a copy of what we hold on you
  • a fix to any detail that is wrong or stale
  • removal of your details, other than records that our signed contract or a law obliges us to keep

Write to [email protected], or phone the number on our contact page. To protect you, we may first ask something that confirms the request is really yours.

Children

Our pages are written for adults who are planning a garage. Any details we discover came from a person under 18 are deleted.

Other Websites Our Pages Cite

Several pages link out to public sources such as town ordinances and code offices, Maine's building code and its amendments, the state's home construction contract law and Maine's shoreland zoning program. Those websites run under privacy policies of their own, outside the reach of this one.

Updates to This Policy

When our information practices change, or the law behind them does, this page changes with them. Check the date near the top to see which version you are reading.
