Rick reads your note
Rick Leavitt goes over what you sent: the town, new or remodel, detached or attached, and whatever you already know about the ground, such as ledge, a wet corner or a tight lot line. Then we agree on a time to come out.
He walks the lot
On the lot, Rick looks for ledge and wet ground, measures to every lot line and, near water, the shoreland line, and sketches the garage in 4-foot steps. For a garage you already have, he starts with the slab and the framing.
The price arrives in writing
Drawings and a written price follow the visit, and anything the excavator uncovers later gets its own change order, in writing and priced, before work continues. Above $3,000, we both sign a written contract, and you pay no more than a third up front.
